We Tried Everything
Jan 23, 2003

MY NAME IS NANCY AND MY DAUGHTER'S NAME WAS VALERIE. SHE WAS DIAGNOSED AT THE EARLY AGE OF 18 OF HAVING HODGKINS LYMPHOMA. SHE DID RATHER WELL THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF HER CHEMO, BUT THEN SHE HAD A SETBACK AND HAD TO CHANGE HER MENU TO SOMETHING ELSE, THIS DID NOT WORK AND WAS THEN GIVEN A STEM CELL TRANSPLANT OF HER OWN STEM CELLS. THIS WAS A COMPLETE SUCCESS. BUT AFTER 55 DAYS THE TUMOR LODGED ITSELF BACK IN THE CHEST AND WRAPPED AROUND HER HEART,WHICH WAS SUFFICATING THE HEART MUSCLES TO WORK PROPERLY. WE TRIED EVERYTHING, MORE CHEMO, DIFFERENT DOCTORS, NOTHING WAS WORKING. THE DEAR LORD TOOK HER VERY PEACEFULLY AFTER WE STARTED TO WEAN HER OFF OF ALL HER MEDICATIONS BECAUSE HER BODY WAS SHUTTING DOWN. SHE WENT TO HEAVEN OR THE "THE OTHER SIDE ON NOVE 22, 1999. I'M NOT TAKING THIS VERY WELL. I NEED ALL THE SUPPORT I CAN GET. LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANY BEAREAVING PARENT (S). BLESS YOU NANCY.
