In Her Memory
Oct 17, 2002

On June 6, 1998, my beautiful daughter Jennifer Rae, passed away.
She had just turned 17 and she was 5 months pregnant. I was devastated when she told me she was pregnant in December, but I told her we would get through this. She was a junior in high school and had put in paperwork for early graduation. She lacked two english classes which she started to take in summer school right after school had finished in May. Her pregnancy was going along so well, but in her fifth month, and a week into summer school she became ill and I took her into the hospital emergency room. The baby was dying inside her, the drs. decided to take the baby from her but Jennifer went into cardiac arrest and within hours I had not only lost my beautful daughter, Jennifer Rae, but also her baby girl which she had named Angel Marie. It has been a little over four years since I lost Jennifer and not a day goes by that I don't think about her. She was my life. For the longest time I had this huge black cloud over me and I was so depressed but with time things got better. Some days are better than others, I take things one day at a time, sometimes a minute at a time. I also have a son who is 16 and I made the decision that I would not deprive him of his memories of holidays and special days. I have chosen to live life and give back to others in her memory. Grief is a terrible road to travel but there are so many wonderful people out there that can help you along the way. I hope I can help someone else, and do it in her memory.

Forever Jennifer's mom, Peggy
