She Is Forever In Our Hearts
Sep 09, 2002

Our little girl who was eight months old when she died of sids in 1982 is, still in our hearts and minds. It did a lot of damage to our lives but, God has restored us with so much more. All of these storys about sids amaze me. To me they are all theorys. I had five older children who were all males and slept on their stomaches. I had NO FEAR of anything like this happening to our daughter. She weighed eight and half pounds at birth and, was perfectly healthy. She slept on her back at ALL times and when was found was on her stomache. She didn't feel well and, was acting fussy all day but didn't seem serious. I had had her to the Doctor that Friday. She was mildly sick. Enough to give her antibiotics. She died on the following Wednesday. As we look back in her last eight months she slept a lot and a couple of times at a football game we looked at her in the stroller and, she was soooo sound asleep it, looked as though she wasn't breathing. I also know that children have died with this wide awake so, how can all these sleeping on back theorys be true? Under weight? Low income? I just really wanted to share that all these theorys prove untrue in our childs case. That God will see us through and has. My only sister who was fifty two years old just passed away with cancer and I feel VERY MUCH PAIN. I now know because I have lost a child (The worst thing that can happen.)I will get through this much stronger. God is with us even when we don't feel it!!! He feels our pain and if we trust in him, He will see us through and, bring us through a much better and, stronger person. We then can relate there is a healing for our broken hearts. It has been very nice sharing my story and just hope and pray this will help someone.
