All Too Real
Nov 25, 2002

My husband and I started trying to have a baby in July 2002. To my surprise I had a positive early pregnancy test. My first visit to my OB/GYN my pregnancy test was negative. I was devesated to say the least. We started trying again and I was pregnant the next month, late for my period and hesitant to take an at home pg test. My Dr. confirmed and said everything looked normal. At 8 weeks I started bleeding, spotting at first then heavy. I went in to the Dr. first thing the next morning and had my first ultrasound. We could see the baby and the sac, but no movement. I wish I never would have seen the ultrasound, it made it all too real that i had lost the baby. This is such a horrible thing that so many women have to go through, how do we do it? I have had 2 cycles since my D&C and now my husband and I are thinking we will start trying again, but I am so scared that I will have another miscarriage. We were so excited both times in the past so I wonder if we can get excited again this time? I wish everyone out there luck, this is a hard thing to get through.
