Hope and Determination
Oct 18, 2002

i got pregnant in april with my second child. i went for a sonogram in may and the technician thought my due date was off cause she didn't see a heartbeat. so, i went a week later for another sonogram and the dr confirmed that there was no heartbeat. i was shocked. i have an 18 month old daughter that is healthy and i thought after one healthy child i would have another. i had a d&c done two days later. my dr told me to wait after two periods before trying again, ,so that is what i did. after my two periods we started trying again and i got pregnant. we were thrilled. i went to the dr's at 7 weeks for the sonogram and saw what i was hoping i wouldn't see, an empty sac. my heart sank. i ended up going to a different dr a couple of days later and they sent me for a sonogram, and confirmed again there waas no baby. i had another d&c. the dr sent me to get bloodwork done so now i am just waiting for the results. he told me that 95% of the time they don't find anything wrong, it is just temporary bad luck. he knows i will get pregnant again and have a healthy baby cause i have my daughter. i think if i didn't have her, i would be in worse shape. i have hope and determination that i will have another baby in my arms.
