My Precious Son Died to Suicide
Dec 07, 2001

My son Guenther W. Jr committed suicide on June 8.1996 at age
31 1\2 His Birthday is tomorrow Dec 8, and I have just been in touch with this site for the first time.

I was fortunate to have James Robison's Ministry have an all week program on grief just after Gundy died. Carolyn Baker heads up this ministry at her church and she was on Life Outreach all week. I got in touch with Carolyn and she gave us much information in order to start our ouwn grief group using her material which is called---The Grass Keeps Growing. an excellent series and we used it for about 2 years at our church.

He was to be married in Nov to a wonderful girl named Shawn. We still keep in touch and she is my daughter-in-love. We both miss him terribly much.

Yes he was extremely handsome, very intelligent, could have sold a snowball to an Eskimo and seemed to have everything going for him. He was unfortunately suffering from some stupid bad choices from when he was a teenager. Drugs caused him to have flashbacks and hear voices. He was a committed Christian and begged God to set him free from his bondage. Some "consequences" are not so easily erased. I beg of any young person to please not take stupid chances with drugs, alchohol or sex. It will ruin your life in the future. Momentary please is not worth the pain later.

Any Moms or Dad wishing to talk with me would be welcomed.
