Courage to continue to go on
The strength to face a new day
These are the things I pray for
God will hear my prayer
I am blanketed in love by friends
I hold them close to my aching heart
They encourage me on the road I must travel
The journey is long and hard
Some paths remind me of winter
A cold, empty feeling deep in my heart
Yet I know spring is waiting
With hope for a spirit reborn
God knows what I need
His love will see me through
He'll take me through the valley of despair
And will grant me joy again
The courage to travel this difficult road
The strength to face my pain
All of this I ask of my creator
And he will grant my request
I grieve, but yet I know
Someday God will take me home
And when I arrive in heaven
I'll see my son again.
