Draven Went Home
Oct 10, 2002

I had my precious baby boy on May 29,2002. We named him Draven Lee Dwain. The doctors told us that he was perfect. He was the prettiest baby we had ever seen. He advanced so fast, slept through the night the day we brought him home, rolling over at 7 days, responding to his name at 10 days, laughing out loud at 4 weeks, things babies didn't do that soon. He had everyone that saw him wrapped around his little finger. He had me wrapped around it the tightest, He was definately a momma's boy. On August 5, at 1:45a.m was the last time that we got to hold him while he was alive. That morning around 11 o'clock Draven went home. Both of our fathers passed away 2 years ago, we told each other that they couldn't wait any longer to see him. Both of them loved fishing. Draven loved to be naked. So, when we get to feeling really lousy we picture two old men in a boat fishing with a little naked baby between them with a binky in his mouth, it makes us feel a little better.
