Why did he choose the life he did?
No mundane life for him.
Life was always an adventure.
So many places to go and see.

He saw the world from his own angle
Grass never grew under his feet.
He tasted of life ever so freely
But in the end it cost him his.

Did he die alone?
Did he know the hurt he'd leave behind?
Did he know the grief we were sure to feel?
Does he know how his mother's heart breaks?

Those who are left behind have so many questions.
We try so hard to understand.
My heart is breaking, I don't understand.
I am trapped in a blanket of pain.

Would you choose another life now?
Do you see what pain we're in?
What would you do if you could do it over?
Would you break my heart again?
