My Beautiful Girl, A Wonderful Singer
Sep 16, 2002

I hope my story will help a mother who has loss an adult child carry on in God's will and once again start to live their own lives.
I lost my adult child on April 27, 2002. She was 48 years old, a beautiful girl and a wonderful singer. She recorded a CD of music that, I think, belongs to the younger kids of today. But, something clicked in her mind to stop singing "pop" music and return to her roots, church music. I was so happy when, at times, she would call me and say, "mom, can you come to my church and hear me sing". I never made it to her church because of the amount of distance we lived between us. I have been told that she was a very, very good singer in the choir. At times, she would be asked to attend other churches to sing. That made me and my husband very proud. One day, she became ill and was told that she was going through menopause. Was given medication and sent away. After seeing several doctors and a hospital stay, she died. I am still wondering why. But I know someday, I will know the reason. Brenda will forever be in my heart. I love her so much.
